Signs of the Times Are Everywhere

“And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the

buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall

not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when

shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus

answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I

am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled:

for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom

against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are

the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated

of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate

one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the

love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom

shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:1-14).

“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of

nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after

those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see

the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass,

then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:24-28).

Wars and rumours of wars:

Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

Famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers (different) places.

Signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;

And upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Men’s hearts failing them for fear,

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads;

for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Years of time have come and gone Wars and strife on every hand

Since I first heard it told And violence fills the land

How Jesus would come again some day Still some people doubt He’ll ever come again

If back then it seemed so real Oh, but the Word of God is true

Then I just can’t help but feel He’ll redeem His chosen few

How much closer His coming is today So don’t lose hope for soon Christ Jesus will descend

Signs of the times are everywhere

There’s a brand new feeling in the air

Keep your eyes upon the eastern sky

Lift up your head, redemption draweth nigh.

I find it troubling today to hear of those who deny well documented events from the past. The so-called holocaust deniers: those who refuse to accept that man has walked on the moon. Sadly, those who
